Management and Performance President Bush's Management Agenda E-Government Act of 2002 E-Gov Initiative - Integrated Acquisition Environment Resources President Bush's Management Agenda
President Bush's Management Agenda is a strategy for improving the management and performance of the Federal
government. The Agenda focuses on five areas of management weakness across the government where
improvements and progress can be made. These include:
E-Government Act of 2002
The E-Government Act of 2002 was signed into law in December 2002
(Public Law 107-347), and it highlights the President's Management
Agenda of expanding E-Gov initiatives. The law is designed to enhance
the management of and expand E-Gov services and processes and to increase
the electronic availability of information to the public. The Office of
E-Government and IT is required to work with state, local, tribal governments,
the general public, and the private and nonprofit sectors to find ways to
improve government performance in collaborating on the use of IT. E-Gov Initiative - Integrated Acquisition Environment
GSA takes a specific leadership role in E-Gov "Integrated Acquisition Environment."
This initiative is intended to create a secure business environment that facilitates
and supports cost-effective acquisition of goods and services by agencies, while
eliminating inefficiencies in and duplications of efforts in the current acquisition
environment. The goals remain:
